TravelFly There are several options available, we recommend the following airlines. British Airways, Easyjet and Flybe Ferry The ferry crossing from Dover to Calais takes about 1 1/2 hours, whilst Dover to Dunkirk takes about 2 hours. The main operator on the Dover/Calais route is P&O Ferries. The alternative is the slightly longer Dunkirk route with Norfolkline. Whilst Norfolkline are principally a freight operator we find that their service, flexibility and prices are excellent. The ferries are considerably quieter as they have no foot passengers. Taxi
