The Chalet

When designing Chalet Les Loups we wanted to combine the look of a traditional Savoyard Chalet with all the modern comforts and luxuries you could wish for. The Chalet was completed in the summer of 2005, and is decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard with all the amenities you could wish for from a luxury retreat.

We aim to provide everything that we can, to form the basis of your fantastic holiday. A welcome pack will greet you, consisting of provisions for your first night and breakfast, along with other essentials.

All linen and towels are provided and included in the cost. A washing machine and drier are at your disposal and a travel cot is available for a small supplement if required.

The accommodation consists of:

  • Two King Bedrooms (One with en-suite shower room)

  • Two Twin Bedrooms

  • One family Bathroom with separate shower and Bath

  • Two Cloakrooms

  • State of the art Kitchen with Granite worktops

  • Huge living / dining room with leather sofas

  • Separate TV / Games room with Plasma TV and Playstation

  • Utility area

  • Large dedicated Ski / Boot changing and storage room.

To keep the chalet at the high standards expected by our guests, Les Loups is Non Smoking and we do not allow pets.

Outside, Les Loups has a wonderful wooden deck, and balconies leading off  both the living room and two of the bedrooms. Views to the Dent du Midi mountain range are spectacular, as is the sun coming up over the mountains in the morning. The sound of a small mountain stream burbling in the background adds to the relaxing tranquillity of the location.

Living Area Top

The living areas have been thoughtfully designed with  everyone’s enjoyment and relaxation in mind

The main living and dining area is open plan with three large patio doors opening to the extensive south facing balcony and deck, complete with outside chairs and stunning views.

There is ample space to relax on one our incredibly comfortable sofas, listen to a CD on the Hi-Fi, or perhaps plug your iPod into the provided cable to play through the system. The perfect place to swap stories of the days skiing over a glass or two of wine.

The 7ft dining table was built to our specifications so as to give you plenty of space to enjoy and savour your mealtimes.

A selection of original artwork adorns the walls, collected from as far afield as Japan and Canada, all carefully coordinated to complement the soft furnishings and warm colours of the room.

If you prefer to watch a movie or play your favourite Playstation game, then downstairs we have a dedicated TV / Games room

Games Room Top

The ground floor accommodates a TV / Games room, including a 42” Plasma screen with satellite TV, Video, DVD, Playstation and stereo as well as the more traditional board games. A great place for children and adults alike to relax.

We also have a wide variety of books and magazines for your enjoyment.

Kitchen Top

In our experience most chalet kitchens are a huge dissapointment, a few cheap units stuck in the corner of the living room are called a kitchen area! We believe you deserve more.

The result is a state of the art kitchen, custom designed, and hand made by local craftsmen. Solid Maple doors contrast with Granite worktops that shimmer in the light, and the Neff appliances have been specially imported.

This is a kitchen you'll feel at home in straight away, seperated from the dining/living area by a wide granite breakfast bar. Everything falls to hand, Le Creuset pans, bone china, wonderful Viners cutlery, all chosen to immerse you in the best of luxuries.

Of course, there is a dishwasher, but if you prefer to wash up by hand you'll be rewarded with views towards the famous Dent du Midi mountains.

Bedrooms Top

The chalet has four bedrooms, two doubles with King size beds and and two twins, which can be pushed together if required. All bedrooms are provided with luxurious linen and fluffy towels.

Each bedroom has plenty of wardrobe and drawers, as well as ample hooks for hanging ski-wear on at the end of a hard day on the slopes.

Two have access onto the south facing upper balcony, with fantastic views across the Abondance valley above the River Dranse.

One of the bedrooms has its own contemporary en-suite shower room, whilst the others share a bathroom and separate toilet room.

A travel cot can also be provided for a small supplement if required.

The ensuite is stunningly contemporary, featuring specially imported tiles and glass basin. The tiled floor is heated to add to the luxury.

The cloakroom features a purpose built washstand as well as a large coat cupboard.

There is an additional toilet room on the top floor.
